When the sky gets dark in the North Cascades

Away from Seattle's glow the Milky Way casts shadows. We pick new-moon dates, drive up after dinner and let your eyes adjust for twenty minutes before we point out a single thing.

Dress for the cold. Even in August the temperature drops into the forties and nobody wants to leave early.

We bring hot chocolate and red torches; you bring patience.
